What is a donor-advised fund?

A charitable giving account held at a sponsor, which is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. You give to the fund, generally take the deduction that year if you itemize, and recommend grants to eligible charities over time.

Is Kingdom Portfolios a DAF sponsor?

No. We are guides. Your fund is opened directly with the sponsor you choose. We never receive, hold, invest, or move your charitable dollars.

Which sponsor will my fund be with?

The one you choose. We help you compare sponsors, including Christian sponsors, on mission fit, grant policies, fees, minimums, and service. We have no agreement with any sponsor, and we receive no compensation, referral fees, or revenue share from any DAF sponsor or charity.

Can I name the fund?

Yes. You open the fund under the name of your choosing, and you serve as its donor-advisor.

Is there a minimum to open a fund?

It depends on the sponsor. Some have no minimum to open; others ask for a starting gift.

Can I get the money back later?

No. Gifts to a donor-advised fund are irrevocable. The sponsor holds legal control and approves grants, which are typically made as you recommend.

Can I give stock or business interests?

Many sponsors accept publicly traded stock, and some accept privately held business interests or real estate after review. Complex assets usually need a qualified appraisal. Plan these with your CPA and attorney.

Will this save me money?

No. Giving always costs more than it saves. The tax rules can make your generosity go further, but a deduction never returns the whole gift. Confirm your situation with your CPA.

Can my family be involved?

Yes. Most sponsors let you add family members and name successor donor-advisors, so the giving can carry on after you.

Is your fee a donation?

No. Our fee is a service fee for our guidance. It never goes into any donor-advised fund and is not deductible as a charitable gift.

Every engagement starts with a free consultation call. If we are a good fit, we will walk you through the options and our service fee for your situation. Our fee is a service fee, not a charitable gift.

What is Kingdom Seed Foundation?

A proposed donor-advised fund at The Signatry (application pending); our founder will serve as its donor-advisor. We share its story as an example of the process. It is not a place we ask anyone to give.
