From Name to Grant
- Start where your heart already is. Open a program and read each ministry’s mission in its own words.
- Do the homework. Confirm the ministry’s current standing with the IRS (churches often don’t appear in the IRS search; ask the church or your sponsor) and read its latest financials and statement of faith.
- Match the EIN, not just the name. Several ministries share names with unrelated organizations.
- Recommend the grant through your fund. Your sponsor reviews every grant and sends it; nothing may come back to you in return.
