• Confirm the EIN and current 501(c)(3) standing on the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search. Churches often don’t appear there; ask the church or your sponsor instead.
• Read the ministry’s own statement of faith and its most recent financials or audit.
• Ask your fund’s sponsor if you are unsure a grant is eligible. The sponsor reviews every grant.
