Terms like order blocks, fair value gaps, liquidity, and break of structure are ways to describe where buyers and sellers likely acted and where price may react. Learned honestly, they sharpen how you read a chart. Sold as a guaranteed system, they become hype. We teach the concepts as one lens among many, never as certainty.
Structure Is the Foundation
Before the fancy terms comes market structure: higher highs and lows in a trend, and the moment that character changes. Reading structure — a break of structure versus a change of character — is what gives every other concept its context. Without it, the vocabulary is just jargon.
Concepts Serve Discipline, Not Replace It
No concept removes risk or predicts the future. The best price-action read still needs a pre-decided stop, disciplined sizing, and a plan for being wrong. These ideas help you form a thesis; risk management is what keeps you in the game when the thesis fails — and sometimes it will.
